<p class="insight-body">Three quieter trends came together this week, and they tell us a lot about where AI is headed next.</p>
<p class="insight-body">First, <strong>memory</strong>. Perplexity's Brain and Anthropic's collaborative Artifacts both make AI stateful in ways it wasn't a year ago. Sessions that learn from each other. Workspaces that remember what you did last Tuesday. This is the quiet end of the "blank-slate-every-time" era, and it changes how we should design our workflows around AI.</p>
<p class="insight-body">Second, <strong>physical presence</strong>. Midjourney is now a hardware company. Genesis AI's Eno is built for kitchens and warehouses, not stage demos. AMD's Ryzen AI Halo runs 200B-parameter models in your hand. AI is moving from a thing you summon in a browser tab to a thing that exists in physical space, with real-world consequences.</p>
<p class="insight-body">Third, <strong>ownership and sovereignty</strong>. SpaceX bought Cursor. Allbirds turned into an AI infrastructure company. Sakana built Fugu specifically to route around export-restricted models. After last week's policy shock, this week showed the response: smart players are aggressively buying, building, and routing around any single point of dependency. The teams that get this strategic shift early are the ones building real durability into their AI stack.</p>
