Google Launches Affordable Veo 3.1 Lite Video Generation Model

Google on Tuesday introduced Veo 3.1 Lite, a new cost-optimized addition to its Veo 3.1 family of AI video generation models, aimed at developers and businesses seeking high-volume production without premium pricing. The model, now available in paid preview via the Gemini API and for testing in Google AI Studio, generates videos from text prompts or reference images at less than half the cost of Veo 3.1 Fast while delivering the same generation speed. It supports native audio, including synchronized sound effects and dialogue, making outputs more immersive right out of the gate
